Landis Threading Systems History

In 1889 – AB Landis was issued Patent 409,208 for his self-opening, tangential thread cutting die head. Following a joint venture with his brother F. F. Landis manufacturing grinding equipment A.B. Landis started Landis Machine on December 10, 1903. The new company had been formed to concentrate on threading equipment for high volume manufacturing.
Since 1903 Landis has been setting global standards for excellence in high volume thread cutting and thread rolling applications. With recent investments in state of the art machinery we’re setting even higher standards in quality, performance and value. The most recent changes at Landis have been made possible through a close partnership with our parent company- Allegheny Technologies, Inc., a multi-billion dollar group of global technology based manufacturing companies, employing
8,800 people world wide.
It is safe to say that if you already machine threads, you will already know the Landis name. What you may not know is that LANDIS THREADING SYSTEMS is a new, revitalized company with growth oriented programs, including rapidly expanding product lines, improved customer service and technical support internally and in the field to ensure that you get the best advice and service possible.
